Rented from DES Properties from January 2017 to May 2017. While I was there, I lost electricity to my refrigerator 3 times and because I had to wait days before they would reset the circuit breaker, each time I lost all my food that I had in the fridge. Twice during the winter they plowed a huge snow bank right in front of my car so that I couldn't get it out. In April 2017 they called and told me there would be a "surprise inspection". No problem for me, and Steve called me after and told me my apartment looked "awesome". So imagine my surprise when I gave my 30 day's notice when I moved out (which is what was agreed on), and I couldn't get my security deposit back. I called twice a month for 6 months to find out when I would receive my deposit back. First I was told it would be in that week's check run. After that, they wouldn't answer the phone and would not return my calls (I left voice mail messages several times). I messaged them through their website also, still no response. So I basically just gave up. I would never rent from them again and I would not recommend them to anyone.
